Его первоначальное использование было ограничено приложениями средней точности, но сегодня он достигает предельного теоретического уровня точности и превосходит своего традиционного конкурента – кольцевой лазерный гироскоп – по параметрам шума смещения нуля и временной стабильности.</p><p>Статья по докладу на XIX Санкт-Петербургской международной конференции по интегрированным навигационным системам.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The fiber-optic gyroscope started to be investigated in the mid 70’s, opening the way for a fully solid-state rotation sensor. It was firstly seen as limited to medium-grade applications, but today, it reaches ultimate theoretical performance and surpasses its well-established competitor, the ring laser gyroscope, in terms of
