Анализируются причины возникновения зоны нечувствительности у ВОГ. Приводятся методики испытаний по выявлению и оценке величины зоны нечувствительности и способы борьбы с ней. Излагаются данные о величине зоны нечувствительности ВОГ разработки различных фирм, как российских («Оптолинк», Пермская НППК, ОАО «Концерн «ЦНИИ «Электроприбор»), так и зарубежных (Honeywell, IXSEA).</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The phenomenon of dead band in laser gyroscopes is widely known. However, as it has been found out recently, the dead band also occurs in fiber-optic gyroscopes (FOG). The issues related to the problem of dead band in interferometric close-loop FOG are considered. The causes of FOG dead band appearance and methods of its suppression are described and analyzed on the basis on literature review. FOG dead band identification and estimation procedure are discussed. The dead band values for FOG developed in Russian Federation (by RPC OPTOLINK Ltd., JSC Perm Research and Production Instrument Company, Concern CSRI Elektropribor, JSC, jointly with National Research University of Information Technologies, Mechanics and Optics) and other countries (Honeywell, IXSEA) are given.</p></trans-abstract></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Филатов, Ю.В.
